About our Institution

With the benign blessings of  His Holiness Jagadguru Padma Bhushana,Dr Sri Sri Balagandaranatha Mahaswamij  our school is running in this Malnad area of Chikmagalur District.  Hirekodige is a famous place  where Rastrakakavi K.V.Puttappa (Kuvempu)  has born and bought up.    Kuppali nearer to our school. The place Hirekodige is situating in Koppa Taluk of Chikmagalur District and border of Chikmagalur & Shivamogga Districts having evergreen forests and beautiful hillocks in a calm environment. It  is a good environment for education .

Its our pleasure to introduce our school.  BGS Akshara Higher, Primary School, is located at Herekodige Koppa taluk adjacent to N.H-13.  School has been established in the year 2008-09 with the able guidelines of  His Holiness  Sri Sri Gunanatha Swamiji of Sringeri Shakha Mutt and Secretary of Sri Adichunachagiri Shikshana Trust ®  Chikmagalore.  Within a short period our school has got a good name in education and Co-curricular activities in near by villages

We have got well experienced  principal and teaching staff.  They are all fluent in English and interested in teaching and conducting co-curricular activities  At the beginning the strength of the students was 45, but it is grown up to 160.  We are teaching for LKG., UKG and upto 7th standards.  The students have been encouraged for studies, sports and cultural event (Pratibha Karanji,  Chunchanagiri state cultural competition).   The students of our school are honored by prizes and trophies every year from the beginning.

Though the students from Rural Area ,since six years we have got good result This would be the fame to our school and institution.

Campus details:

Independent  tile roofed Building measuring 1000 Sq., feet consisting 4 rooms. Spacious good ventilation & natural light.  Play Ground beautiful garden.

Courses offered, Syllabus & medium of instruction: LKG., UKG., 1st Standard to 7th Standard State Syllabus, Kannada & English medium as per Government Policy.

Future plans: Teaching will be provided for LKG., UKG., and 1st standard to 8th standard.

Admission: Will be provided as per the existing govt., policies
